Only Me

I've had a couple things happen to me this week where once I finished telling my husband what happened, his response was always the same: "Who would this happen to besides you?!"

1. Got an eye infection in my left eye. It's been super red, sore, irritated and not to mention embarrassing that I have to wear my old glasses for a week. (I always wear contacts so it's a big deal for me!) Two days into it, I finally went to the doctor and got a prescription and it's starting to look SO much better.
Sorry for the gross eye picture, but it has been the pits this week!

2. Got my coat stuck in the subway door. Yep. It totally happened to me. Again, super embarrassing. Luckily I don't think anyone noticed since it was during the morning rush hour commute and everyone was packed in so tight I wouldn't have been able to move anyway. That it except for the people at the next stop who I'm sure had a good laugh as they watched my coat flapping outside the subway as it approached the platform.

3. Got a huge rip in my shirt that I didn't notice until late afternoon. I'm sure people at work who noticed were thinking, "whoa...doesn't she have another shirt to wear?" No idea how it happened. Can't believe I didn't notice it sooner.

How/When did this happen?!?

Phew. What a week of mishaps for me. Luckily I have a sweet husband who took me out for a treat on date night to make up for my embarrassing moments. It was delicious and is so close to our apartment! We will definitely be frequent customers at 16 Handles anytime we're in the mood for frozen yogurt. I'm already craving it again.

Of course mine is the chocolaty, brownie, cookie dough combination on the left...TJ always goes for the fruity, frozen yogurt mix. Maybe one day I'll be more healthy like him!

  1. It's always funnier when it happens to someone else!! Thanks for the laugh, except for the eye infection, I wasn't laughing at that. Remember when I thought I would get a chance at performing in the Lincoln Center? We might be twins??? Hope your eye is feeling better, and anytime you need to commiserate, I am more than available to laugh at you in person!!

    1. Thanks Jennie! I definitely made myself laugh too...other than my eye infection incident. When I told TJ my coat-stuck-in-the-subway-door experience I was crying from laughing so hard. The things we do and say huh?!
