Dominican Republic Part 2: Adventure is Out There!

Our honeymoon in 2009 was our first-ever all inclusive resort vacation. TJ and I thought that was amazing. Paradisus Punta Cana exceeded all of those expectations by miles. This is THE place to go if you're wanting a relaxing, low-key vacay. It was even better with awesome friends to enjoy it with.

The resort was so huge, you had to hop in a golf cart that would take you to dinner or to the live entertainment show each night back at the lobby.

While most of our days consisted of sand in our toes and full stomachs from all you can eat meals, we did venture off the property one day so we could see the local area and enjoy zip-lining.

We hopped in one of these trucks to head out to zip-lining. Between the vehicle and bumpy dirt roads you'll understand why some of the following pictures might be blurred or crooked!

Most of the homes we saw looked like this.

A few were painted nicely and well-kept like this.

Got meat?

We were going 50+ mph and I snapped this picture. When I looked at the camera I couldn't believe that I had caught the donkey in the picture!

Listening to the zip-lining instructors before our first time giving it a try!

My nervous/excited look.

TJ's even more nervous/excited face.

Let's do this.

On the way back to the resort our guide had us try sugar cane and cocoa bean.

We pulled out the white gooey stuff in the center and sucked on it, then spit out the dark beans.

I'm married to such a babe.
