This is what happens when you have a sister with a fancy camera and she sneaks up on you and says, "Smile!".

TJ loves his sister (in-law). Without her, he wouldn't have someone to be goofy with. I think it's safe to say that Marissa would like to keep TJ around for a bit too. Without him, she wouldn't have someone to call goob.
